Terms of Service
Last updated: May 5, 2026
By using ChatIt, you agree to these Terms. Please read them — they explain what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.
1. Acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and the operator of ChatIt ("ChatIt," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use ChatIt.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 17 years old to use ChatIt. By using the app you confirm that you are 17 or older, that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement, and that you are not barred from using the service under the laws of any jurisdiction that applies to you.
3. Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your username and password secure.
- You must not share your account or let another person use it.
- You are responsible for everything that happens through your account.
- If you believe your account has been compromised, contact support@chat-it.net immediately.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use ChatIt to:
- Send, share, request, or distribute any content that sexually exploits or endangers minors. This is grounds for immediate termination and reporting to law enforcement and NCMEC. See our Child Safety Policy.
- Harass, threaten, defame, stalk, or incite violence against any person or group.
- Promote, plan, or commit terrorism, hate crimes, or illegal violence.
- Distribute spam, scams, phishing links, or malware.
- Distribute non-consensual intimate imagery or any content depicting illegal acts.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity in a misleading way.
- Infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
- Attempt to break, probe, reverse engineer, or interfere with the service or its security.
- Use automated tools to create accounts, scrape data, or send messages.
- Violate any applicable law in your country or in Israel.
5. Your content
You keep all rights to the content you send through ChatIt. By sending content, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to transmit, store, and display that content solely as needed to operate the service. Because most content is end-to-end encrypted, our practical access to it is extremely limited.
You are solely responsible for the content you send. If your content violates these Terms or any law, we may remove it (where technically possible) and take action on your account.
6. Reporting and enforcement
If you see content or behavior that violates these Terms, report it to support@chat-it.net with the username and a description. We review reports within 24 hours and may, at our discretion:
- Issue a warning.
- Remove content or revoke access to specific features.
- Suspend or terminate accounts.
- Report illegal content to the appropriate authorities.
7. Termination
You can terminate your account at any time from inside the app or via our deletion form.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if your use of the service creates legal risk for us, or if we are required to do so by law. Where reasonable, we will give you notice. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, dispute resolution) will survive.
8. Service availability
We work hard to keep ChatIt running, but we don't promise 100% uptime. The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, ChatIt and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, lost profits, or business interruption, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to ChatIt shall not exceed one hundred US dollars (USD 100) or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is greater.
10. Advertising
ChatIt is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. By using the app, you agree that ads may be shown to you outside of chat conversations. See our Privacy Policy for what data is collected for advertising.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll change the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you in the app or via email. Continued use after the update means you accept the new Terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The competent courts of Tel Aviv, Israel shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence requires otherwise.
